KANG THE CONQUEROR LTD — Long Haul Truck Driver — Brampton, ON

$37.00 per hour | Full-Time | Permanent | 40 hours/week

KANG THE CONQUEROR LTD is a licensed trucking company based in Brampton, Ontario, operating across local, regional, interprovincial, and international routes, including cross-border transportation between Canada and the United States. We are hiring one (1) permanent, full-time Long Haul Truck Driver.

Job Duties:

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and navigation equipment to minimize fuel consumption and improve efficiency
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Load and unload goods
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required
• Prepare and maintain documentation including bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, and trip reports

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Class A (AZ) driver’s licence — mandatory
• Valid Air Brake (Z) endorsement — mandatory
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience is an asset
• Basic English language ability
• Willing to travel for long-haul routes, including overnight and extended periods
• Willing to travel cross-border (Canada–United States)
• Available for day, night, weekend, and overtime work

Work Conditions:

• On the road; work locations may vary (various locations) and frequent travel is required
• Physically demanding
• Repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail
• Handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
